My name is Michael Lopez, I live in San Diego County, I am recently retired and have decided to search for some genealogical history on my parents now that I have the time. My family of origin was "different" than most families in the sense that my parents came to America without any other family and never went back. I just came across this term in a baptism record of an ancestor. Does anyone know what specifically it means and how it's different (if it is) from regular unmodified "padrinos"?
